Beyond our standard TPU 95A, we can source flexible filaments across a wide hardness range — from soft, rubber-like TPE down to firmer, more structural TPU — matched to how much give a part actually needs.
Hardness (Shore A) is the main variable — softer grades compress and flex more but hold detail less crisply, while firmer grades behave closer to a semi-rigid plastic.

Shore A hardness is the key spec across this family — the lower the number, the softer and more rubber-like the result. Softer grades (TPE, low-Shore-A TPU) compress easily and feel closer to real rubber but hold fine detail less crisply and print more slowly; firmer grades (higher-Shore-A TPU) print faster and hold detail better but behave closer to a semi-rigid plastic than a true elastomer. PEBA sits at the performance end, offering better energy return for parts like flexible connectors. We'll help you land on the right point in that range rather than defaulting to one hardness for every job.
